Kenneth N. Colson – President
Ken Colson co-founded EDA MARKETING INC in 1997 after 11 years with Hitachi Electronics of America, where he served as National Sales Manager, Visual Technologies Division. Ken brings approximately twenty-eight years experience in the electronics industry to EMM (which he started in 2004) having held numerous sales and management positions with leading manufacturers in the electronics industry. That experience allows us to better recognize our manufacturer’s needs and their goals. Ken is responsible for EMM’s sales development in Georgia and Eastern Tennessee, as well as developing EMM’s company strategy. He has served on the ICIA Board of Governors and is Past Chairman of the Independent Rep Council.
George-Erick Brinckmann – Territory Sales Manager
George-Erick joined the EMM sales team in 2007 focusing his efforts in developing the IP/Telco dealer channel. GE’s video communications knowledge combined with 10+ years technical product sales experience serves the company well for this business development role. As an additional videoconferencing and streaming products resource, GE brings the company additional technical strength and support for our dealer partners (AV&IT).
Doug Hyatt – Territory Sales Manager
Doug joined EMM having spent ten (10) years in the IP networking and telephony industry, and is responsible for the company’s sales activity in the State of Florida. Doug started his tech career with Nortel where he held numerous product development and product marketing positions during his eight (8) years with Nortel. Most recently, prior to joining EMM, he managed a IP Network/Telephony integrator in the Tampa area.
John Lee – Territory Sales Manager
John joins EMM with 10+ years integration and sales experience in the Audio Visual industry and manages EMM Group's Audio Visual and Broadcast integrator channel in the state of Florida. Prior to his current role with EMM Group, Mr. Lee served as Regional Territory Sales Manager for Kaleidescape for the Southeastern United States. He also helmed Pro Video Solutions as General Manager, a professional and broadcast video equipment rental house serving Orlando, Tampa and South Florida. Mr. Lee has served in the capacity of Systems Sales Engineer, Division Manager of Product Sales, and most notably, National Sales Manager, Hotel Installation and Design Group of Audio Visual Services Corporation. John is an occasional contributing writer for several AV industry trade publications.
Robert Kilmarx- Territory Sales Manager
Robert joins Emergent Media Marketing with over 20 years experience in the Commercial AV marketplace. Originally focusing his career in video production, Robert transitioned into Presentation Products in 1996, joining Technical Industries as an Account Manager in the Nashville, TN office. During the MCSI era he joined the Integration Product Sales team where he held both sales and sales engineering positions for the company. Residing in Nashville, Robert will be responsible for EMM’s sales activities with our commercials dealers in Tennessee and Mississippi.
Wayne Childs - Territory Sales Manager
Wayne joined EMM with experience from the AV Integration, Manufacturer, and Broadcast industries. He took over the NC/SC territory for EMM after managing East Coast Sales from '95 to '05 for AutoPatch Switching Systems in Washington State & Vutec Projection Screens out of Pompano Beach, Florida. Also, as the Technical Sales Manager for Harbour Marine Systems, Wayne worked on high profile cruise ship projects and eventually lead HMS in a new direction that included land based accounts. Wayne holds a degree in Television Production. His early experience includes work for a CBS news affiliate, and as a freelance Videographer.
Shawn Thorn – Sales Engineer
Shawn, based in Norcross at HQ, joined the EMM team in 2004 and has over 22 years experience in the electronics industry. Shawn has held both sales and technical management positions with three integrators in South Carolina, and previous to that was an Electronics Troubleshooter for the USAF. Shawn is responsible for EMM Services and focuses his efforts on Dealer Development, here he aids dealers in product specification & design, integration & installation knowledge, and system implementation & programming (AMX ACE Certified).
Mike Mannschreck – Sales Engineer
Before joining EMM, Mike worked as a systems administrator for a design/build firm in Oklahoma City. He obtained his AMX ACE certification and was responsible for the operation of the companies network and servers. Mike spent a year with Dell as a server technician and also earned a Microsoft Certification. In October of 2007, Mike, his wife, Kristin, and son, Mason, relocated to Atlanta to join the EMM team as a Sales Engineer. He will be providing technical support to dealers and focusing on AMX programming and video conferencing.
Jaime Colson – Inside Sales Coordinator
Jaime manages the internal operations of EMM. Her responsibilities include order management, assisting dealers with sales and/or product information, quoting, sales reporting, and billing. She focuses predominately on the distribution and services side of the business. Jaime joined the EMM team in June 2006. Prior to joining EMM, Jaime obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance at Georgia State University, and has worked in the customer service field.
Jana Hunter – Customer Service / Operations
Janna has been involved in customer service for a number of years. She is available to assist dealers and end users with sales and/or product information, and is responsible for generating sales statistics and maintaining our customer database.
Justin Freeman – Marketing Coordinator
Justin is focused on developing corporate communications through monthly newsletters, product brochures, promotional announcements and coordinating trade shows. He is available to assist dealers with product information, and is responsible for generating sales statistics and maintaining our customer database . Prior to joining EMM in November 2007, Justin obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Auburn University.
